Our engineering experience and willingness to interact with all members of our client's team can have a positive effect in assuring design certainty before we start the work. This dilutes the traditional problems that may occur during the course of the implementation phase.
We do not believe in adversarial contracting. We would much rather work with the client and their appointed consultants in fully vetting the design proposals prior to tender and definately before commencing on site. Our experience tells us the following..

If we are permitted to fully engage with the process at an early stage then our expertise in value engineering and logistics planning will have a mutually beneficial impact on the project as a whole.
Much of our efforts recently have been in the retail sector and, as a consequence, many of our projects have been undertaken on an out of hours basis allowing the client to continue trading during the project works. This can be of huge benefit to the client who wishes to maximise their turnover and at the same time retain their customer base.
Our experience has taught us that a capability to provide closely monitored logistics planning and an attention to detail are prerequisites if the client and their customers are to be satisfied during such a difficult period. We understand that the client needs to be able to concentrate on their core business with as few distractions as possible. We are already providing such a service to a number of blue chip High Street traders.
Not all projects are trouble-free of course but we can give an assurance that we treat any problems as an opportunity to impress and can be relied upon to to take prompt action to provide real time solutions. We do not point fingers or wait for bits of paper to get on with the works. We enjoy working for clients with a similar outlook.
Health & Safety Is Paramount
Vincent Building Services fully recognise their obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 to their staff, clients and contractors.
We are proud to have achieved Zero Lost Time incidents on our projects over the last year which is a testament to the competence and training of our staff, the quality of the equipment we maintain and the use and efficacy of our Health and Safety Systems. We believe that continuous investment in employee training will pay dividends and help our planned growth in the next few years. We recently, for example, put all of our operatives through the First Aider Course and where we use specialist sub-contractors we insist that their HSE policy matches our own high standards.
We actively follow the Health and Safety Executives guidance HSG 65 and have full time qualified Health and Safety staff on board to implement and maintain a robust Health & Safety regime. We meet our obligations under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 enabling us to be fully compliant with the recently revised Construction Design and Management Regulations of 2007.
We are also currently working towards ISO 9001 and EN 14001 compliance.
A robust HSE regime is of paramount importance to our ability to operate in the construction sector and to allow us to gain credance in the industry. We will never compromise on Safety and shall work continuously and diligently to enforce our Health and Safety Policy.

Minimising Client Disruption
One of our key considerations on any project concerns the minimisation of client disruption in occupied premises. Vincent Building Services recognises the challenges when undertaking such work and will work closely with clients to minimise disruption For example, we regularly utilise night or weekend-shift operations to meet such requirements.
Continuous Monitoring & Quality Control
Regular inspections of sites, procedures and workmanship are made by senior staff including comprehensive safety and fire prevention inspections. Our tradesmen will remove all rubbish accumulated on a daily basis and will work hard to minimise noisy activities (such as drilling) or time them to suit your requirements (deadlines permitting).
